Tre fredager i mars/april kommer Sanni og holder en superspennende serie med Yoga workshops for oss. Hun er opprinnelig fra Finnland, utdannet yogalærer 500RYT og har reist verden rundt og både deltatt på og holdt Yogaretreats.
Friday 6. march 17 - 19.30 Traditional Kaula Yoga - Let go and everything will come
We hold an enormous amount of tension in our bodies, and rarely do nights and sleep manage to wash it away. Tension (stress) is a sign of control. Eventually it messes up the body’s nervous system as well as hormonal balance and leads to a scattered, unhappy mind.
Letting go is not easy. It cannot be decided or performed with conscious control. The body-mind system needs to be guided towards it actively but gently, without pushing. When the conscious mind lets go, the unconscious takes the lead. Yoga can happen. Slowly the body-mind learns to repair itself.
In this workshop (for the first time in Norway!) you will experience the methods of traditional kaula yoga. Your whole yoga practice becomes meditation and you will learn to flow through the practice with gentleness and self-love. Kaula yoga is performance-free yoga.
FOR WHOM: The workshop is suitable for all levels. Prior experience is not necessary. Especially I welcome anyone who experiences difficulties in relaxing, staying put or sleeping. For more experienced practitioners the workshop gives valuable insight into prana-based asana practice and balancing the body-mind system.
WHAT IS KAULA YOGA: Kaula yoga is a tantric yoga system that encourages its practitioners to live to their full potential and to celebrate life. Deeply rooted in the vedic science, the system sees human as whole, mind and body being like two sides of a coin. Yoga is seen as a wholesome practice for optimizing life, living without limiting fears and shifting awareness. (Note! As opposed to neo-tantra, tantra is not traditionally interested in sexuality.)
ABOUT SANNI: Sanni Parkkinen is an experienced yoga teacher (RYT-500) coming originally from Finland. Living in Trondheim since spring 2019, she coaches and guides people to live happy & healthy through her company Mindgrit AS. Sanni has lived and worked in various yoga ashrams and centers in India, USA and Canada. For the past three years she has immersed herself in traditional non-dual Shaiva-Shakta tantra with teachers such as Miska Käppi (close student of Acarya Bhagavan Shri Shanmukha Anantha Natha) and tantra scholar Christopher Hareesh Wallis. Sanni appreciates her Nordic roots by working with drums and guiding her students through meditative journeys.
PRACTICAL INFO: Sanni will give a short talk about the theme and then guide you through a balancing Tri Dosha (yoga asana) sequence. The evening will be finished with a thorough relaxation accompanied with the sound of a healing drum that Sanni has herself made.

The workshop will be held in English.
Minimum amount of participants is six (6). In case of not enough registrations, the event will be cancelled and all received payments returned.
